Bioethics Training is intended for those seeking a deeper understanding of scientific and objective criteria for the defense of the dignity of the human person, from their origin to their natural death, and then apply these insights in their professional practice.

Spanish courses

International High Level Training Course in Reparative Medicine for Male Reproductive Health

The topics covered by the course will be addressed from a diagnostic, therapeutic and follow-up point of view. The final aim of the course is the acquisition of autonomous management skills with specific skills dedicated to each professional figure: the medical doctors will deal with the clinical aspects of all the topics covered; biologists and biotechnologists will receive specific training regarding the execution of diagnostic tests in the andrological laboratory.

Master’s Degree in Bioethics

Offered in collaboration with the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, students will acquire advanced knowledge in Bioethics from an interdisciplinary perspective —spanning biomedicine, philosophy, and law— and will be able to analyze current bioethical challenges scientifically, rigorously, and systematically. Taught in Spanish, it offers a level of official studies within the European framework, with access to pursue a PhD in Europe. It will soon be offered in English.

Expert Diploma in Bioethics

A specialized degree offering interdisciplinary training in Bioethics aimed at developing the ability to analyze these dilemmas from a Personalist Bioethics perspective, which respects the dignity, integrity, and freedom of the person from conception to natural death.

Master-Class in French

A specialized training program for medical students (starting from the first year), young doctors, nurses, midwives, researchers, biologists, which revisits the fundamentals of Hippocratic medicine and confronts these principles with technical and legislative developments.

Some spots are also reserved for legal professionals and philosophers with experience in the field of bioethics (minimum of a Bachelor’s degree).

Directed by Dr. Mónica López Barahona, the International Chair of Bioethics Jérôme Lejeune continues the work started by Professor Lejeune, supporting its activity on three pillars: training, research and publishing.

Created in 2009, within the Centro de Estudios Biosanitarios, it joined the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation in 2015.
