Successful conclusion of the 3rd Edition of the International MR.REP Training Course in “Reparative Medicine for Male Reproductive Health”

Padua, July 2026 – The Department of Medicine of the University of Padua, in collaboration with Fertílitas and the International Chair of Bioethics Jérôme Lejeune, has successfully concluded the third edition of the International High-Level Training Course Medical and Bioethical Issues in Reparative Medicine for Male Reproductive Health (MR.REP), reaffirming its role as one of the few postgraduate programs worldwide dedicated to natural restorative approaches to male infertility.

Running from March to June 2026, the four-month course brought together physicians from ten countries—Ireland, Spain, Italy, Poland, Albania, Russia, Croatia, Mexico, the United States, and Portugal—and a wide range of specialties involved in reproductive medicine, including gynecology, urology, endocrinology, andrology, embryology, pharmaceutical sciences, and NaProTechnology. The program created a unique international learning environment dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of male reproductive disorders.

Organized in partnership with Fertílitas, Spain’s leading NaProTechnology clinic, and the International Chair of Bioethics Jérôme Lejeune, the program combined scientific excellence with ethical reflection, offering participants a comprehensive educational experience through both in-person and online teaching.

Throughout the program, participants received advanced training in reproductive andrology, laboratory diagnostics, instrumental assessment, and evidence-based management of male infertility, with a focus on identifying and treating its underlying causes to restore natural fertility.

Beyond its clinical and laboratory components, MR.REP maintained its distinctive interdisciplinary approach through a comprehensive Bioethics curriculum, providing participants with the scientific, ethical, and legal tools needed to address the challenges of reproductive medicine with respect for human dignity.

The collaboration with Fertílitas, one of Europe’s leading NaProTechnology centers, and the International Chair of Bioethics Jérôme Lejeune enriched the program by integrating extensive clinical experience with specialized bioethics education.

The successful completion of the third edition reflects the growing international demand for advanced training in reparative reproductive medicine. Increasingly, healthcare professionals are seeking evidence-based approaches that prioritize the identification and treatment of the underlying causes of infertility, with the aim of restoring natural fertility whenever possible.
